Three US oil companies at 'compelling levels'

The big business story this week has been crude oil's decline, with Brent currently trading well below $80 / barrel. Jason Stevens, Director of Energy Equity Research at Morningstar, says that with the  price of oil down some 25 percent in the past few months, what could be an attractive investment opportunity has been created among some US oil firms.
Morningstar’s assessment of Energy and Petroleum equities has identified three oil companies that could be significantly undervalued. Apache Corporation and Devon Energy Corporation both stand out due to their decision to “aggressively” target the North American market, says Jason. Whiting Petroleum Corporation which Stevens states is “compelling at these levels” could also provide an attractive investment opportunity.
