The surprising aspect of the US recovery

The US economic recovery might be among the slowest in terms of growth rate - 2.3% - but it's also one of the longest lasting we've seen.
That's according to Morningstar's Bob Johnson who looks at the long-term average of GDP growth which is around 3.2%.
Johnson notes that there is less volatile than we've seen in the past. Previous peaks led to short-lived recoveries where as now this recovery is providing a greater sense of stability.
