Another disappointing week for commodities. Starting with crude and Saxo's Ole Hansen says it's stuck in a range and as a result, volatility has started to come down. He says Friday's non farm payrolls could be the trigger that takes us out of the range.

Moving to gold and Hansen says the precious metal has fallen by the same amount that the strong dollar has risen. Again he says it's stuck in a range but he does note that supporting news is coming from negative rates in Europe.

Silver too has been caught out by the strong dollar. This Friday morning it broke the 16.08 level and has been trading down to 15.92.
