Next Wednesday, the British Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne will stand at the despatch box on the floor of the House of Commons and deliver his final budget before the General Election due to be held on May the 7th. Markets are, naturally, expecting a 'giveaway' theme designed to lure voters to vote Tory in a few weeks time.

Nick Beecroft, Chairman of Saxo Capital Markets, gives us his thoughts and views on the possible political impact on markets. He expects Sterling could get a boost despite the undercurrent of uncertainty in the run up to what will be the most unpredictable election for decades.
