Seasoned equity trader Serge Berger gives us an earnings season update and outlines his Apple trade this week. The US tech giant makes up around 14% of the Nasdaq 100 and could push the rally in the index itself even higher. Sales of the Apple watch will be under scrutiny as this will be the first chance for analysts to see if the new product has been successful enough to boost profits.

So far the big US banks have been the focus of earnings season, this week investors get the opportunity to trade a wider range of firms. So far around three quarters of the S&P 500 firms, which have already reported earnings, have beaten expectations.
