Earnings Season: Why Intel belongs in the premier league

Chip giant Intel is due to report its third quarter earnings on Tuesday October 13 after market close. Despite declining sales in the PC segment, Saxo Bank’s Peter Garnry expects great things from Intel as it is well positioned to benefit from the cloud computing and the Internet of Things.

Garnry outlines what to expect from the earnings report as well as the outlook for Intel, which has a sales growth target of at least 15%.

Garnry says Intel is seeing returns on invested capital of around 21% while having a low valuation. This in combination with the potential for future growth makes Intel an attractive investment, he says.
