Peter Garnry, head of equity strategy at Saxo Bank, examines the current market status of Samsung and Apple, and explains the idea of a pair trade going short on Apple and long on Samsung.

Garnry points out Samsung's recent rise in mobile sales against Apple's declining sales, and the situation in the Asian market, where phone manufacturers such as Huawei and Samsung are eating market share from Apple.

On top of that, other tech branches of Samsung are also seeing strong performance, and the South Korean tech giant might even get Apple as a customer of its OLED technology in the near future.
