In a bid to up the so called "smartphone war", LG Electronics has launched the LG G3. The company hopes its latest product will be able to take on the likes of the Galaxy S5 from Samsung or the Sony Experia Z2. It's the sequel to 2013's LG G2 and is expected to go on sale in Europe in June for around USD 925.

And sports company Adidas has launched a "Smart Ball". It is a new age football that sends performance feedback to your smartphone. The ball then lets the player know his or her performance when it comes to power and speed for example.

Tech Expert Stuart Miles, Founder of Pocket-lint.com, says this is "yet another device" connected to your smartphone - and that investors really need to be aware that "smart" products are the next big thing as most things will start to be connected via internet, "whether it's a football or your kettle".
